Sun Shadows is an herbal medicine project. The goal of Sun Shadows is to provide people with the knowledge resources and skills to take care of themselves and their community.
We acknowledge that our brightest, shining, self is supported by the accumulation of the work we have already done and the intentions we have for our lives in the present moment - our shadow.
Sun Shadows is of the philosophy that there is an energetic component to both wellness and disease, and that we can work with the plants to find the physical support we need while at the same time, connecting to energy of plants to shift the emotional and spiritual realm.
We understand that many patterns revealed in the lives of individuals have ancestral and cultural roots. We feel empowered by the ability to shift societal patterns using the tools that have also been passed to us from our collective ancestors on this earth. Unwinding of patterns on an individual level is not an easy task, and we don’t believe in over night or miraculous change with out the work. Our bodies and spirits are in need of consistent maintenance to make effective change, and we believe that this maintenance should ultimately help us to feel good and be affordable.
